E29 uses a cluster of VM installs to reproduce real world enterprise server setups. Our products are tested using the same criteria across the board: A small application that connects to a database, does a select, then outputs to the browser using sGen.

Our load testing software is httperf and JMeter. Each application is tested using 100 concurrent connections sending a total of 2000 requests. The hardware is baselined as follows:

• AMD Dual Core x64
• 2GB RAM
• 1000mbit Network connection
• Ubuntu 7.04 Server
• Apache 2
• MySQL 5
• PHP 5.2
• No opcode cache
